About Travel Ramps
Since 1983 we have been manufacturing Travel Ramps. During 1983 and the first 4 months of 1984 the ramps were made by hand in open molds.
In May of 1984 we began production with the RTM closed mold process. RTM ensures a strong, quality ramp that is structurally the same every time. RTM also allowed us to pigment the resin so that the color goes all the way thru and eliminate the need for a gel coated surface.
From 1983 until 2013 our recommended capacity was 600 pounds. Beginning in January 2014 we changed the fiber reinforcement inside the ramp and can now offer capacities up to 1200 pounds.
In 2012 we introduced a Mini Van Ramp for the 28" side doors.
Since the beginning we have offered 3', 4' and 5 ' ramps beginning in December 2014 we are adding 6' one piece.
Travel Ramps are designed for any type of environment. In northern locations the ramps work great because they do not stick to your hand when frozen.
The ramps can be immersed in salt water at beach locations with no effects. Travel Ramps have no recyclable value, which means less chance of theft.
Travel Ramps are smooth to touch on all surfaces. The attractive tan color looks great in residential, professional and commercial locations.
Travel Ramps are manufactured in our facility in Alachua, Florida. Alachua is in north Florida about 15 miles from Gainesville and a mile from I-75.
